1. Introduction

Centerstage Technologies LLC respects the privacy of you and your family, including the privacy of your child. ALL DATA COLLECTED FROM CHILD USERS IS USED ONLY TO ENHANCE THEIR USER EXPERIENCE AND IS NEVER SHARED WITH THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISERS. This Privacy Policy applies to our product, StoryJam, which is designed to create bespoke children's stories featuring the child as the star.

We want you, as the supervising Adult User, to feel safe and have full confidence in our handling of your data when you use StoryJam. We've prepared this Privacy Policy to explain how and why we treat the personal information we collect, and how you can exercise your rights.

We encourage you to read the Privacy Policy carefully, and if you have any questions, please contact us as set forth in the "Contact Us" section below.

This Privacy Policy complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

2. Definitions

• "App" means our app, StoryJam.
• "Child User" refers to any minor that uses the App.
• "Adult User" refers to the adult (age 18+) who signs up for and pays for the App for the Child User.
• "Terms" means our Terms of Service.

3. What You Need to Know

• The Adult User is in control: The Adult User downloads the App and sets up an account for their Child User as part of the onboarding process.
• Adult User consent: We obtain verifiable Adult User consent before collecting any personal information from Child Users. We also allow the Adult User to provide consent for their Child User to share their own Personal Information (name, birthdate, skin color and gender) for purposes of creating or editing their own personalized avatars.
• Safe and controlled environment: Child Users cannot access the wider internet from the App or share personal information outside the App.
• Data collection: We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the App.

4. Information We Collect

Information from the Adult User

• Financial Data: Payment information (processed through third-party payment processors), transaction history, subscription details.
• Account registration details (e.g., name, email address).
• Profile preferences and parental control settings.

Information about Child Users

• Facial photo upload (for purposes of avatar creation and including the Child User in the story).
• Name, age, and optionally gender and skin tone for avatar creation and including the user in the story.
• Story data (e.g., content preferences, story interactions).
• Usage data (e.g., time spent using the App, story views).

We do not collect additional biometric data from Child Users, and any location data is limited to the city level for analytics purposes.

5. How We Use Information

We use information collected to:

• Provide, administer, and facilitate your use of the App, including to display customized content.
• Process or fulfill your requests and/or orders for products, services, information, or features, including the use of specific functionalities of our App.
• Respond to your questions or concerns.
• Send you administrative messages and information about changes to the App, and updates to our Terms and Privacy Policy.
• Manage your account preferences and establish your profile and registration information.
• Facilitate the technical functioning of our App, including to troubleshoot and resolve issues, secure the App, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• Respond to customer support questions and issues, and to resolve disputes.
• Create, review, analyze and share technical information.
• Aggregate city-level information for analytical purposes (anonymized and not identifiable to any individual).
• Analyze trends and user traffic, track purchases and usage information.
• Solicit feedback from users.
• Comply with legal requirements and protect the safety and integrity of our users and the App.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. Once data is no longer required, it is securely deleted.

6. Avatar Creation

• Child User avatars are created based on input from uploaded photos, which are securely stored and used solely to generate personalized story experiences.
• The system is designed to recognize and process human faces while rejecting other images.
• Avatars are not visible to the public and can only be used within the App unless the Adult User chooses to share a StoryJam story.

7. Sharing Stories

Stories can be shared via secure links that can only be viewed on our App or Website. We ensure that stories are presented securely and do not function as self-contained video files. The Adult User can revoke sharing access at any time through account settings.

8. Child User Information

Information collected from Child Users may be used to measure engagement and adapt the experience to their preferences. Adult Users have full control over their child's personal information through the parental controls section of the App.

9. When We Disclose Information to Third Parties

We may share information with:

• Service Providers: Companies that help us operate our services, with strict data protection requirements.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

10. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect personal information, including encryption and secure data storage. However, no system can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

11. Children's Privacy

We are committed to protecting children's privacy and comply with all applicable children's privacy laws. We collect only the minimum amount of information necessary for the App's functionality.

12. Automatic Information Collection

We may collect certain information automatically, such as device information and usage statistics, to improve our services. This information is used in an aggregated and anonymous form.

Adult Users have the right to:

• Review and update their account information
• Request deletion of their account and associated data
• Control what information is collected from their Child Users
• Opt-out of certain data collection where applicable

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes through the App or via email.
